Creative Resistance Craft Klub

FIRST THREE THURSDAYS of the month ON ZOOM

5.30 pm - 7 pm

C.R.C.K. is an online craftalong event with two guest speakers each month.

What's a craftalong?

Everyone is welcome at a craft along. All you need is to bring your own project.

This one is a very special one, as we're also inviting amazing people involved in participatory art projects to keep us inspired, connected and motivated!

Read about the programme below and book your place to receive the Zoom links to log into the room on the day.

We’re very excited to announce that our new craft-along club has been included as part of St. Margaret’s House

Art Council funded digital project REACH! It’s all free, so do get involved and enjoy!

Intro to Creative Resistance with Milou

First event of this series has to be about Creative Resistance: What is it? What does it mean?

Well, we'll look into some of the incredible participatory art that suits such a term, including craftivism and guerilla kindness and more. Everyone is welcome, but if you're new to activism through textile arts and crafts or would like to be more involved in these activities, don't miss this intro!

The Story

C.R.C.K was born in the early days of lockdown with the simple goal of creating an alternative safe space online for crafting and chatting, aimed at first for the community of makers that attend Embroidery for Wellbeing workshops, and The Embroidery Loop at The Create Place (St. Margaret's House) in Bethnal Green, London.

C.R.C.K has since grown into a bigger project where we'll be inviting guest speakers to talk about their own experience and projects around the concept of Creative Resistance, all whilst being a craftalong too, so don't forget to bring your own project!

Would you like to be our guest?

If you're an artist/facilitator or

organisation with an ongoing participatory project and are looking for a platform to present it and get anyone involved. This is the  right place for you.
